GIRARD, Ohio - Phyllis “Mimi” Datchuk, 58, passed away on Wednesday, Oct. 25, 2017, at her home, surrounded by her loving family.
Mimi was born Dec. 22, 1958, in Youngstown, Ohio, the daughter of John and Lina (Martuccio) Picierro.
She was a 1977 graduate of Girard High School, and for the past 17 years she worked as a realtor for William Zamarelli.
She enjoyed cooking and her garden, but most of all, she loved just being with her family.She will be sadly missed by all who knew her.
She leaves to cherish her memory, her husband, Joseph Datchuk, whom she married June 17, 1978; her sons, Joseph (Emily) Datchuk and Robert (Megan) Datchuk, both of Girard; her sisters, Rita Wheatly, Annette Racick and Jay Duebelt, all of Girard; her grandchildren, Luca, Brynn, Aubrey and Avery; and many nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, Oct. 30, at 11 a.m. at St. Rose Church, preceded by a prayer service at 10:30 a.m. at the Blackstone Funeral Home in Girard.
Family and friends may call on Sunday from 4 to 7 p.m. and also from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. on Monday.
Mimi will be laid to rest at Girard City Cemetery (Trumbull County, OH)
