Samuel Houston Sanders was born May 27, 1879, to Henry Layfayette Sanders and Mary Melvina Slaughter in Burnet, Texas.
He married Lillie Belle Broadway.
They had three children:

TEMPLE (SPL)-- Rev. Samuel Houston Sanders. 86, of Temple died at 2 p. m. Sunday in a Temple rest home.
Funeral services will he at 2 P. m. today at Hewett Funeral Home with Rev. Joe King and Rev. Marshall Edwards officiating. Burial will be in Hillcrest Cemetery. Rev. Sanders, was born in Burnet County and moved to Temple in 1925. He served as pastor of the Full Gospel Church until he retired several years ago. Surviving are his wife; Nancy Dee Mouser: a daughter, Mrs. G. M. Lawson of Temple; three brothers, Boston M. Sanders and Hiram Leander Sanders of Temple and Oscar Monroe Sanders of Valley Mills; and a granddaughter
