Yvonne Massie Jebaratnam

Yvonne Jebaratnam, age 71, surrounded by family entered glory peacefully after a long battle with breast cancer December 14, 2016.
Born August 21, 1945 in Gallipolis, Ohio (Gallia County) to the late Ollie Florence Massie.
She was a devoted member of New Testament Church. Retired from Ohio Bell /AT&T after 32 years of service. She was a member of the Telephone Pioneers of America.
She was featured in the Dispatch for her delightful recipes and she enjoyed cooking and serving others.
She loved accomplishing her crossword puzzles and enjoyed reading. An avid fan of The Ohio State Buckeyes, she thoroughly enjoyed watching them beat Michigan this year. A lover of people, she never met a stranger and her home was always open.
Preceded in death by her grandparents George (Alice) Massie, mother Ollie Massie, first husband Joseph Quinichett Sr., daughter Alberta and grandson Phillip Shelby. Survived by husband of 31 years, Ajit; siblings, Edwin (Nancy) Weidner, Sarah (George) Cole, Wayne Massie, and Almajean (Dennis) Stevens; children, Debra Shelby, Joseph Quinichett Jr, and Lynne (Ben) Green II; grandchildren, Carlos Jr (Shakira) Shelby, Spencer Shelby, Steven (Lacey) Shelby, Tiffany Shelby, Joseph Quinichett III, Shane Quinichett, Quinten Quinichett, Shelvonna (Diallo) Sewell, Ben (Phylicia) Green III, Joseph Green, Samantha (Ryan) Panknin; and many great grandchildren, cousins, nieces, nephews, friends and church family.
Visitation will be held Tuesday, December 20 from 6-9 p.m. at O.R. WOODYARD CO., 1346 South High St., where funeral service will be held Wednesday, December 21, 10 a.m.
Interment Union Cemetery, Columbus, Ohio.
In Yvonne's memory, contributions can be made to Mount Carmel West Hospice. The family wishes to thank everyone for their prayers and continued support.
