WEST VIRGINIA – Mary Ann Klenec, 85, formerly of Walter Street in Campbell, passed away peacefully Sept. 22, 2017, at Hubbard Hospice House West in Charleston, W.Va.
Mary was surrounded by her family who loved her so very much and never left her side since May, when she was diagnosed with cancer.
She was born Dec. 3, 1931, in Youngstown, Ohio to Andrew and Barbara Profancik.
Mary was a 1949 graduate of Campbell Memorial High School.
She was a homemaker and in earlier years, worked at Hills Department Store in Lincoln Knolls.
Mary lived in Campbell, Ohio her entire life and only recently moved to West Virginia to live with her daughter.
She was a longtime member of St. Angela Merici Parish (formerly Sacred Heart) in Youngstown.
She leaves behind her four children, Joe (Theresa) Collins, Bob (Patti) Collins, John (Amy) Klenec, and Cathy (Ben) Stover; nine grandchildren, Joey Collins, Jessica (Lawrence) Hawkins, Bobby, Cameron and Luke Collins, Jacob Klenec and Abbey, Ian and Ethan Stover; and three great-grandchildren, Kaitlin Lewis and Larry Hawkins and Sebastian Collins. She also leaves behind several nieces and nephews.
Mary was preceded in death by her parents; two former husbands, Jerome Collins and Bill Klenec; brothers Andy and Joe Profanchik; sister Barbara Borman and twin sister, Ann Tadla.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, Oct. 2, at St. Angela Merici Parish at Sacred Heart, 400 Lincoln Park Drive in Youngstown.
Calling hours will be from 10 to 11 a.m., with a Mass of Christian Burial held at 11 a.m. Interment will follow at St. John’s Cemetery in Lowellville, OH.
