WAMPUM, PA. - Betty Jean (Jordon) Zatkovic passed away peacefully on Dec. 21, 2016, at her residence at the Kateras Kove in Wampum.
Betty was born April 6, 1924, in Gallipolis, Ohio (Gallia County) a daughter of Hugh F. and Florence E. Vance Jordon.
Betty retired from ESSROC Cement Co. in Bessemer, PA after 17 years in 1982.
Betty is survived by her son, Michael K. (Teresa) Zatkovic of New Middletown, OH; a grandson, Michael K. Zatkovic II of Bessemer, Pennsylvania; and two stepgrandchildren, Patrick Browning of Navarre, Fla. and Jerry Browning of Pittsburgh.
She is also survived by her sister, Nancy Gibson of Zanesville, OHIO.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 43 years, Boris M. Zatkovic, who passed away in 1995; three brothers, John, Thomas and Robert Jordon; and three sisters, Patricia Lippert, Jane Robertson and Eleanor Logan.
Betty was a member of the Bessemer Presbyterian Church and through the years had served as deacon, on the rotary committee.
Betty loved to travel and was known for her delicious homemade pies.
She volunteered at the Jameson Hospital in the mail room and sewing room. Calling hours are scheduled for Monday, Dec. 26, 2016, from the hours of 4 until 7 p.m. at the Terry A. Cunningham Funeral Home at 203 Oak St. in Bessemer.
