NEWBURY, Ohio - Lorraine M. (Caventer) Fossaceca, 70

Lorraine was born on Nov. 9, 1946, in Phoenix, and passed away on Feb. 23, 2017.

She was a resident of Newbury for five years, formerly of Painesville and Lyndhurst, Ohio.

Lorraine graduated from Cardinal Mooney High School in Youngstown, Ohio and attended Youngstown State University. She was a bookkeeper for the City of Beachwood, Ohio and managed the gift shop and worked for volunteer services at Heather Hill.

Lorraine was a recipient of three kidney transplants, spoke at schools about organ donation and fought for education and awareness of RLS Syndrome (Willis-Ekbom Disease).

She loved gardening, bird watching, adult coloring and attending her book club “Country River Readers.”

Lorraine adored her family and loved spending time with them at family gatherings, especially for Christmas and Thanksgiving.

She will be remembered most as an inspirational, happy, courageous, and joy-filled woman. Lorraine was strong, sensitive, devoted, passionate and always saw the best in everyone. She will be dearly missed.

She was the beloved wife of Kenneth for 47 years; loving mother of Anthony (wife Sherri Konick) and Phillip; devoted grandmother of twins, Sage and Max; cherished daughter of the late Margaret E. (Bodnovich) and William J. Caventer Sr.; dearest sister of William Caventer Jr. and Jeannette Stoiber (husband Gary); and dear aunt of Andrew Stoiber, Christopher Caventer, Michaela Vervain, Glenn Caventer and Jennifer El-Makdah.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in memory of Lorraine at the funeral home.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be Monday, Feb. 27, 2017, at the St. Helen Catholic Church at 10:30 a.m. Cremation following by the DeJohn Crematory.

Private burial at All Souls Cemetery.

Family will receive friends to pay tribute to and celebrate the life of Lorraine at the DeJohn Funeral Home and Celebrations Center of Chesterland, 12811 Chillicothe Road (Rt. 306, just south of Mayfield Road) on Sunday from 2 to 6 p.m.
