RUSHVILLE: Rusty Lee Oehlers, 27, of Columbus, Ohio, formerly of Rushville, Ohio, (Perry County) passed away Tuesday, February 21, 2017 at Mount Carmel West Hospital, Columbus, Ohio surrounded by his loving family.
Rusty was born November 5, 1989 in Newark, Ohio, (Licking County) the son of Kenneth J. Jr. and Dolly Anderson Oehlers of Junction City, Ohio.
He was a graduate of Fairfield Union High School where he lettered in wrestling, cross country and band. He loved sports, cooking and music.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by a son, Killian Maverick Oehlers of Lancaster, OH; brothers and sisters, Kenneth (Mindy) Oehlers of Athens, Ohio, Samantha Elizabeth Oehlers of Reynoldsburg, Ohio, Stewart Steven Oehlers of Rushville, Ohio and Natalie Claire Oehlers of Dublin, OH; his grandfather, Kenneth J. Oehlers of Kettering, Ohio; and many aunts, uncles and cousins.
Friends may call from 4-6 p.m. Saturday, February 25, 2017 at the Bope-Thomas Funeral Home in Somerset, OH.
A private burial will be held at a later date.
