Joseph D. “Joe” Flaviani, 85, passed away Wednesday, Nov. 9, 2016, at St. Joseph Warren Hospital.
He was born Jan. 10, 1931, in Warren, Ohio the son of the late Joseph and Marian Flaviani.
Joseph was a graduate of Niles McKinley High School and was a U.S. Air Force veteran in the Korean Conflict during 1950 to 1954.
Joseph worked for Cox Lithographing until 1989; he also worked for and retired from The Vindicator.
Mr. Flaviani was a member of Blessed Sacrament Church and a past member of Christ Our King Church.
He was a member of the VFW, past treasurer of the Printers Union and the Warren Italian American Festival Committee, as a board member.
Joe enjoyed bocci, gardening, camping, machine bowling, sports, puzzles, computer games and his grandchildren.
Joe is survived by his wife, Christine Flaviani; his children, Joseph (Laurie) of North Carolina, and Diane Flaviani, Dominic Flaviani and Janet (Michael) Yaksic, all of Warren; five grandchildren, Curtis Flaviani, Adam Yaksic, Kelly (Matthew) Burgess, Erica (Sammi) Hussaini and Heather Kos; and four great-grandchildren, Peyton Williams, Elijah Flaviani, Ameila Burgess and Audrianna Flaviani.
He was preceded in death by his parents; four brothers, Clemente, Nicholas, Alfred and Henry Flaviani; and a sister, Gloria Tascione.
Family and friends may call 10 a.m. to noon Saturday at Blessed Sacrament Church in Warren. A Mass of Christian burial will be noon Saturday at the church

WARREN, Ohio – Diane M. Flaviani, 57, passed away Sunday, February 19, 2017 at the Hospice House in Poland, Ohio a caring and loving center.
She was the second oldest of four children born October 19, 1959, in Warren, Ohio, (Trumbull County) the daughter of Joseph and Christine Flaviani.
She was a 1977 graduate of John F. Kennedy High School.
After graduating high school, she went to college and received an Associate’s Degree in Business and Health from Kent State University and also attended Youngstown state University.
Diane loved camping, fishing, bowling, playing cards, casinos, her family and friends and enjoyed life.
Diane is survived by her mother, Christine H. Flaviani; brothers, Joseph (Laurie) Flaviani, Jr. of North Carolina and Dominic A. Flaviani of Warren; a sister, Janet (Michael) Yaksic of Warren; nieces and nephews, Curtis Flaviani, Adam Yaksic, Kelly (Matthew) Burgess, Erica (Sami)Hussaini, Heather Kos, Peyton Williams, Elijah Flaviani, Ameila Burgess and Audrianna Flaviani.
She is preceded in death by her father.

A service will be Thursday, February 23 at 6:00 p.m. at the Funeral Home
Burial will be in all Souls Cemetery in Bazetta twp.
