YOUNGSTOWN, OH - Patrick “Monk” Mangee, 81, died on Monday, Jan. 16, 2017, at St. Elizabeth Boardman Health Center.
He was born in Youngstown, Ohio (Mahoning County) on Feb. 26, 1935, to the late Anthony and Lena Carfagnia Mangee.
Monk was a 1953 graduate of East High School, proudly served in the U.S. Army and was employed as a pattern maker for Commercial Shearing for over 30 years. He leaves his daughter, Linda (Brian) McKnight of Hilliard, OHIO; son Patrick (Christine) Mangee Jr. of Glen Burnie, Md.; grandchildren Jeffrey, Chad, Kyle and Matthew.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Ruth Mangee, who passed away on Feb. 22, 2007; and his brother, Anthony “Junior” Mangee.
In honoring his wishes, Monk will be cremated and there will be no services.
